It's Electric

I had to rewire the outlet for the clothes dryer today. I am getting pretty good at this electrical thing though. I have also in the past week replaced the porch light and three receptacles. The wife of course couldn't resist taking a photo of me being "Handy Manny" as my youngest daughter calls it.

Arrived

We have arrived here in the great state of Maine. It is wonderful to be back home after being away for so long. It appears that we have brought winter along with us. Kyrie is loving the snow and McKenzie keeps the wife and I busy all day while her sister is in school.

Relax

I have been trying to find my center the last few days. Things have been hectic but at least we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is just hard sometimes to remember to take a deep breath and slow down.

Halloween

Halloween was a success here in the Gay / Fredrickson household. The kids went out and brought back a ton of candy and they only did a few streets. Not too many kids came to the house but the ones who did were all very nice and polite. Rebecca even got a hug from one little girl. The challenge over the next few days is to limit the candy intake so we don't all get a bunch of cavities and stomach aches. I hope that you and your families had a wonderful Halloween!

Macros

Did a few macros the other day and think this one came out quite well. We are still very busy with the moving process as well as buying a new car. I figured that if we are going to be driving halfway across the country we should get a reliable and comfortable vehicle to do it in. I hope that you are all having a wonderful week.

Super Busy

The family and I have been super busy over the last week because of the moving process. Everything we own is packed into boxes now and the movers are coming tomorrow to take it all away. Then it is just a few days of cleaning the house and turning in the keys and that will be one less thing to worry about. Also got my car back today from the body shop. My advice is to never wreck a Suzuki if you own one. They had to fly parts in from Korea to fix mine. At least it is all done after having a rental for almost a month. We are staying at the in-laws now and things are going better than I thought. We have been busy as heck the last week but next week we should actually get to settle down a little bit. That is enough rambling for tonight though. Have a great week everyone.

Just Me

Just another self portrait. I have been enjoying my retirement but it has been a bit stressful the last few days. We are in the process of moving so things have been going 90 mph lately. Packing and planning a route along with figuring out where to stay along the way. I just cant wait to get on the road so I can take some photos of our trip across the country.

Football Game

 Went to my brother in law's football game today and took some photos. It was my first real attempt at sports photography and I definitely have plenty of room for improvement. I was limited because I could only take shots from the bleachers. He has another game next week at the high school stadium and I am hoping for some freedom of movement to get some better shots.

Pain

Snapped this last night before bed. Used some selective coloring to show you my newest weapon in my war against constant pain. 15mg of morphine every 8 hours. My doctor says it might help so we will see what it does.

Filthy Habit

I know that smoking is bad for me but I enjoy it so much. I plan on quitting in the near future and I am sure it will be painful not only for me but for those that will have to deal with me.

Yeah

Did a photo shoot yesterday and it went well. In the last few days I have retired from the Army and am trying to get my life together. Not doing too well since I am drunk tonight but don't judge me. I need some time to find myself. Have a great weekend.

Injections

I had some steroids injected into my spine today and figured I would just show a picture of that. Also notice the sweet head scar from my injury.

Chasing Clouds Away

 It is a little cloudy here in Central Texas today so I figured I would put up a few older photos of some sunny days. Hoping it chases the clouds away so I can grill our dinner tonight.

Getting Started

I guess this will be my first post on this blog. I am on Staff Duty today for the Army. At least I have cable television and college football to pass the time. This is just a photo of me here on duty at Fort Hood, Texas, "The Great Place".
